ECHL’s Bloomington Bison Launch Jerseys for Inaugural Season – SportsLogos.Net News
With their inaugural ECHL season on the horizon, the Bloomington Bison have rolled out the jerseys they’ll be wearing on the ice.
The Bison rolled out their inaugural jerseys at an event for season ticket holders on Thursday, September 12. The jerseys come nearly nine months after the team unveiled its logo and wordmarks in January 2024.
The Bison’s white jersey features the team’s primary logo on the chest. The upper halves of the sleeves are black, while the bottom halves are white; the two halves are separated by red and light blue stripes. The same stripes run around the waist, with the area underneath to the hem colored in black. The collar is black with white trim.
The red jersey, meanwhile, follows the same template as the white jersey, with the black upper halves of the sleeves and collar porting over. The stripes separate the red and black areas on the sleeves and waist are white and light blue.
According to an image found on the Bison’s online store, the names and numbers on the back will be set in a font that mirrors what’s found in their wordmark. On the red jersey, the numbers are white with black outlines while the name is one-color white.
ECHL teams wear white jerseys at home and dark jerseys on the road until the All-Star Game break in January, at which point they switch to dark at home at white on the road. During the playoffs, they switch back to white at home and dark on the road.
The Bloomington Bison kick off their inaugural season in the ECHL on Saturday, October 19, when they host the Toledo Walleye. The Bison — who in May announced an affiliation deal with the NHL’s New York Rangers — will play at Grossinger Motors Arena, a 5,600-seat arena in downtown Bloomington.
